Okay, guys. I’m backkkk. Did you miss me? Because I missed YOU.
I know, I know. I disappeared for almost 2 months. A lot of sh*t has happened in social and the US of A is falling apart. But like… forgive me?!
BESTIEEEESSSSSS!
I’ve missed you guys SO MUCH!!!
Okay, so I’ve highkey been back from my trip to Japan and the Philippines since February 22nd 🌝 but once I got back, I had to tend to all the clients I onboarded before leaving, and it was A MESS. Probably wasn’t the best time to take a trip, but also… I didn’t expect everyone to want to sign at the same time. And I have no shame in treating myself — working in social media gives me daily headaches, and ya girl just needs a break sometimes. I’ve started posting my content, so if you wanna tune in, follow me on the clock app.
Okay, What’s Happening In Social?!
🧛🏽 Sinners has collaborated with Meet Cutes NYC to help promote the movie release. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen upcoming movie releases do this. Michael B. Jordan plays twin brothers in the film, so Meet Cutes NYC is technically interviewing them and who they’re in a “relationship” with in the movie. It’s literally GOLD.
🎒 Beís has a Weekender Lore Series going on where they’ve been getting their creative and design team to give us some tea on the origin of the Weekender, renovations, and why the Mini Weekender was created. I love when brands give us the inside scoop and looks into things we think are “secrets” or stuff that’s only talked about internally. It’s a perfect way to include your audience and create an inclusive brand experience.
🍨 Van Leeuwen partnered with Leah Kateb to launch a Persian-flavored ice cream. The rollout was super cute and simple. It’s a limited-time flavor, only served in LA scoop shops + Rock Center, NYC.
🧼 Topicals returns with their Faded Fortune (literally my first time hearing about it). It’s a one-night-only gaming experience where you could win rare luxury goods, $$$, or a spot on their next brand trip?! Their marketing is ALWAYS spot on.
💆🏽♀️ Cécred is officially at ULTA, and you know Beyoncé had to get the gworls out for the event. Recently, her restoring hair & edge drops have gone VIRAL on social media, with people consistently seeking out the product. So when Cécred hit those shelves at ULTA, the product was flying right off.
RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU’RE TIRED OF KEEPING UP WITH INSTAGRAMS “HACKS” AND WAYS TO REACH MORE PEOPLE ✋🏽
I know I am.
I recently came across a post on LinkedIn that spoke to how one of their IG stories reached 132,810 organic impressions from a single framed post.
It made me think — as much as I wish this wasn't a thing (like, why should anyone feel like they have to limit what they share to avoid low reach), it’s worth discussing.
Here are a few reasons why I think Instagram might be rewarding single-story posts:
Posting one story often results in a 100% completion rate, which tells Instagram that people are fully watching your content.
When completion rates are high, the algorithm is more likely to show your story to more followers.
The more stories you post at once, the less likely people are to finish them, which can lower performance.
Seeing multiple tiny dashes across the top can feel overwhelming and lead people to skip your stories altogether
I’ve noticed this myself — when I’m posting my vacation recaps, my views drop off fast. But if I post a single slide, my organic story reach jumps to 500+. So this could definitely be true.
But also — don’t limit yourself or your content trying to keep up with this all the time.
I’d still say, if you’re promoting a product or service, one clear and concise story slide can often drive better engagement than a full sequence — but otherwise, JUST HAVE FUN with social!

2025 Marketing Trend
People are saying brand relatability has reached its breaking point? Sheesh. I work in social and I swear I can’t keep up.
Why Escapism Is In (and Relatability Is Kinda… Tired?)
Everyone’s overwhelmed
The vibes are off. Between the news cycle, the economy, and the constant pressure to stay online, people are exhausted. They don’t just want to scroll. They want to escape.
Relatability used to hit. Now it’s just noise
The whole “we’re just like you” brand voice? It’s feeling stale. Audiences are starting to crave something different. Storytelling that feels dreamy, elevated, or completely otherworldly.
People want a break from real life
Honestly, reality is a lot. Escapist content gives people permission to tune out and tap into something more imaginative. Even if it’s just for 30 seconds.
Fantasy is performing better
Hyper-aesthetic, whimsical, and dreamy content is having a moment. Whether it’s AI-generated scenes or surreal visuals, people are engaging more with content that feels like a mini escape.
Digital worlds aren’t just for gamers
From Roblox to AR filters to immersive IG campaigns, more brands are experimenting with interactive, escapist experiences. And audiences are into it.
Escapism isn’t shallow. It’s strategic
It’s not about avoiding the world. It’s about giving people something they want to engage with. When you create a little ✨magic✨, your content sticks. And so does your brand.
What I’m Currently Working On ….
What’s new with me?
The brands I told you guys about were going really great... until tariffs and the economy went to complete sh*t. And you already know who’s the first to go when that happens and companies start doing budget cuts — marketing.
So, I’ve lost three accounts this week 😔
Yes, it sucks, but I’m going to keep pushing.
In the meantime, I’m going to focus on building my digital products for social media managers and landing some brand deals on LinkedIn — so wish me luck with that!
